"An Ti Kaz la" gîtes

The "An-TIKAZ-La" gîtes have an environmentally friendly and traditional design. Wood was used for preference in building the gîtes, which are equipped with solar-powered water heaters, as well as low-energy lighting. The ventilation is natural, helped by the trade wind and an environment rich in plant life. Equipment with a negative environmental effect has been limited, and the gîtes have been given the Ecodom label.
The owner, Mi-Marie, works day in, day out to preserve and promote local heritage. She mainly uses produce from Guadeloupe (an organic vegetable garden, Creole cuisine, honey, jam, etc.), and she joins forces with local suppliers and neighbours in her approach.
Her work in favour of the environment and her knowledge of the natural heritage and local culture are a guarantee of her commitment to ecotourism. She has no hesitation in committing herself to initiatives promoting heritage and protecting the environment (monitoring turtles, taking part in the campaign to preserve endemic or endangered plant species, etc.).
